Elegy for my dead son, Adrián Alfonso Lamo

I do not know why you left

in the prime of your life

Outside the winter

burned the skin

and the bare trees

healed their wounds.

I walked your steps

and your hallways

I hugged your neighbors

their warmth filled me

I cried in front of your door

and we prayed in the spot itself

of your departure

I picked up your pillow

like a leaf

of your fallen life

I smelled on it your sweetness

and I felt your breath

and how your soul

breathed in mine,

I dressed in your clothes

tried on your tenderness

your kind smile

I tried to feel

what you felt,

you felt lonely

but at peace with everything and

with all things

human and divine

I picked up your notes

your life lists

looking for a message

that you were leaving us,

I looked through your window

to see what you saw

and I breathed the air

of your farewell,

today you are absent,

my life, my everything,

I cry for you in silence,

in silence I cry …

    Adrian vive en tu corazón y en el de todos en quienes dejo su huella. Adrian te cuida desde donde el está ahora la esperanza es que algún día nos volvamos a encontrar

    Que hermosura de poema tanto amor tantos planes que tenían entre ellos viajar al amazonas para pescar pirañas adrian estaba muy emocionado con este viaje no hay que llorar por que ya no esta sino sonreír por que lo conocimos y disfrutamos de su sonrisa de su luz sus bromas no hay que llorar por su ausencia sino reír por todo lo lindo que aprendiste de él y por el amor que el te dio y el amor que tu le diste
